Illuminate your winter getaway in Steamboat Springs with the magical Holiday Balloon Glow—an evening spectacle where hot-air balloons light up at dusk and glow like giant lanterns against the snow-covered Mountain Village. Held at the Steamboat resort base in Mountain Village, this free celebration offers a unique and memorable way to experience this magical time of year in Steamboat Springs.

What is The Steamboat Holiday Balloon Glow?

The Steamboat Balloon Glow brings together an array of magnificent hot-air balloons in the early evening, tethered to the ground and illuminated from within by their burners. Spectators stroll among the glowing balloons, talk with balloon pilots, capture photo-worthy moments, and soak in the alpine ambiance. In past years, this event has been held in conjunction with other celebrations like the Visa Big Air World Cup and the Light Up the Night festivities.
