The Steamboat Free Summer Concert Series is a long-standing annual event in Steamboat Springs, Colorado, that brings nationally recognized artists to the community for free live music performances throughout the summer. Established in the early 1990s, the series has grown significantly, now featuring five concerts each summer with attendance averaging between 3,500 to 7,000 per event. ​Set at the base of Howelson Hill in downtown Steamboat, this entirely free series features performances from a wide range of well known artists, offering a fun evening under the stars during the beautiful summer months.

What to Know About Attending

  • Venue: Concerts are held at the base of Howelsen Hill in downtown Steamboat Springs, providing a picturesque setting for attendees and easy walking distance from the many great restaurants, bars, and vacation rentals downtown.
  • Admission: All concerts in the summer series are free and open to the public.
  • What to Bring: Attendees are encouraged to bring blankets or low-back chairs for seating comfort. While outside food and non-alcoholic beverages are typically permitted, alcohol and glass containers are usually prohibited. Food and beverage vendors are available on-site.
