Some may choose to spend their spring break in Cabo, or down south in the Gulf Shores enjoying the beach. However, the ones who are really smart choose to spend their spring break in Steamboat Springs! Beautiful weather, springs skiing, and activities make for a great springs break for the whole family – of all ages!
Skiing
The most obvious reason to come to Steamboat for spring break is the skiing. With the season mostly behind you, the snowpack is dense. Couple that with warmer temps and it makes for a warm, bluebird day on the snow of your dreams! While March consists of lots of sunny days here in Colorado, the spring months account for some of our highest snow totals of the season. You could very well find yourself knee deep in Steamboat Resort’s renowned Champagne Powder.
What better way to end your ski day than with cold beer in even colder hands? Steamboat knows how to apres well with on-mountain bars such as Best of the Boat voted T-Bar, Paramount, Slopeside, and of course – our downtown restaurant scene. For the younger kids, these spots are family-friendly and have something for the whole family while you rest your weary legs!
Other Activities
When bringing the family out to Steamboat Springs for spring break, explore Steamboat’s many activities outside of skiing! You’ll discover other snow sports such as snowshoeing, fat biking, and for the more adventurous – snowmobiling, dog sledding, and even horseback riding! For a list of activities, please check out this page for more information.
If you’re needing a break from the cold temps, try out some of our indoor activities. Bring the kids to a class at our rock climbing gym, Steamboat Climbing Collective, or to our extremely popular local bowling alley, Snowbowl. To explore activities, restaurants, and local favorites, check out the Visit Steamboat Springs! app (available for both iPhone and Android).
