In Steamboat Springs, some of the best dining available is the local Asian restaurants. We take great pride in the craft of food, and these restaurants have perfected Asian dining. Whether you’re a fan of poke, pho, or the classic sesame chicken, we have rounded up our three favorite Asians restaurants in Steamboat below.
Talay Thai and Mai Thai – two locations from one great family
Talay Thay and Mai Thai are two great Thai restaurants run by the same family in Steamboat Springs. Mai Thai is located downtown at 435 Lincoln Avenue and Talay Thai is on the mountain at 2300 Mount Werner Circle, at the base of the Steamboat Grand. Both feature authentic Thai dishes and the mountain location has a tiki bar. The Sunti family has been serving authentic, traditional Thai cuisine in America for over 30 years. They started with Bahn Thai Restaurant in Seattle in 1982, and now live in Steamboat Springs.
Noodles and More – 635 Lincoln Ave
Sumatera – 1106 Lincoln Ave
Sumatera offers authentic ‘Ring of Fire’ Pacific Rim Cuisine ranging from the Indonesian Islands, Singapore, Thailand to Japan. For more intimate date nights, check out the special ‘Reservation Only’ dining room. Most dishes come in the traditional spicy levels of 1-5, therefore allowing you to take it as hot or not as you want! Sumatera even offers catering and sushi chefs available for private parties. This “hole in the wall” restaurant is perfect for Asian dining, furthermore with it’s intimate and warm setting.
