Bud Light Cowboy Downhill

The Steamboat Cowboy Downhill is a whimsical event that combines skiing with the lighthearted spirit of the Wild West. Held annually at Steamboat Ski Resort, this unique spectacle sees professional rodeo cowboys and cowgirls swap their saddles for skis, don their cowboy hats and western attire, and tackle the slopes with daring flair. Started nearly 50 years ago by Billy Kidd, Steamboat’s Director of Skiing at the time, it’s become one of the most popular events of the winter season. Today, over 100 of the best professional rodeo cowboys compete in the most unique ski rodeo in the country – it’s truly a sight to see!
